Nutritional Anthopometric survey; A Case study in Food Insecurity and Malnutrition.

Abstract:

The nutritional status of school children aged from 6 to 13 years is the thematic interest of this survey.
The nutritional status of school children in pokhara valley was anonyomous. A Survey on the same was
done considering BMI as a crucial parameter influencing Nutritional status of the targeted group. Two
private educational institutes were taken for sampling procedure.39 students from each institute was
selected for survey procedure. The data was analyzed in combine assuming 13.5 and 17.5, cut-off point
for normal BMI. Result shows that 75% of the study population has Normal Nutritional status, 13.16% of
the study population is underweight and remaining 11.84% of the study population is overweight
